PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Wings had their best game of the season. They scored a season-high 19 goals.
The Wings defeated the New York Riptide 19-12 on Saturday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Center.

With the win, the Wings keep their playoff hopes alive. They are in a battle for the final playoff spot with weeks left in the season.
The Wings are 4-5. They are one spot away from the Halifax Thunderbirds, who have a 5-6 record.
Philadelphia is back in a few days with a rare Monday night game. They host the 9-2 Toronto Rock.
The Riptide fell to 2-9 with the loss. They have the worst record in the NLL.
Mitch Jones, who was acquired in a trade with Vancouver Warriors in February, led the Wings with six goals. He also had eight assists.
Joe Resetarits and Ben McIntosh had four goals each. Resetarits also had five assists while McIntosh had four assists.
Blaze Riorden had two goals. Matt Rambo, Alex Crepinsek, and Sam LeClair had one goal each.
Wings goaltender Zach Higgins received the win. He made 41 saves.
Connor Kearnan led the Riptide with four goals. He also had one assist.
Mike Burke and Tyler Digby had two goals each. Reilly O’Connor, Jeff Teat, Larson Sundown, and Jay Thorimbert scored one goal each.
Steve Orleman was the losing goaltender. The Riptide net minder made 45 saves in the loss.
