Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto has had thousands of interactions with umpires throughout his career. But an interaction on Monday is getting a lot of attention.

Realmuto was ejected from a game for a reason that even caught the All Star off guard. He reached out to get the ball.

Seconds later, umpire Randy Rosenberg dropped the ball. Realmuto looked behind him to find out that he was thrown out.

Even the announcers thought that Realmuto was thinking that Rosenberg was going to throw the ball back to the pitcher. But that didn’t happen.
