Old No. 1 Speedway owner Paul Tribble is home. Just hours earlier, he was involved in a freak accident.

Tribble was hit by a car at his race track in Arkansas. The medical personnel thought he was so serious to have him airlifted to a nearby hospital.

“I just want to first off thank each and everyone for all of your prayers for my dad because God heard every prayer and was with him, that’s for sure,” Old No. 1 Speedway said in a Statement. “We got him home around 7:30 am this morning. He has a pretty nasty cut on his leg, his left shoulder is broken, and he has several fractures to his face. He is up, alert, and walking (slowly). But he is in very good spirits and is just thankful to still be with us.”

Following the incident with Tribble, members of their community stepped up to help the family.

“There is no way I can remember, who all you were but you know who you are, to everyone that stepped up last night at the track to help us like you did, or even if you just asked if there was anything that you could do, you don’t know how much I appreciate y’all!”

At this time, it is not clear if the track will shut down next week, as the family tends to Tribble. Or if the track will go on.

That decision will be made in the coming days.
