Shawn Wilhoit was not one of the drivers selected during the Street Outlaws No Prep Kings draft earlier this month at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio. On Saturday, he was competing at a local track.
Wilhoit was competing at Paris Dragway. That’s when disaster struck as he was involved in a major crash.
Thankfully, the former Street Outlaws driver walked away. According to video circulating online, he was involved in a race when he lost control near the top end of the track.
“Well I officially feel like a bruised turd,” Team Mistress said in a Facebook post. “Wow. What an ending to our night. I am alive and nothing broken. The car not so much.
“Thank you for the quick response Paris Dragstrip.”
Team Mistress is a two car team. The team may take some time off before they return to a dragstrip.
It is not clear at this time what their plans for the Street Outlaws is. And the damage to this car is going to take some time to repair.
Paris Dragway is a dragstrip located in Paris, Texas. The event that Wilhoit was participating in was called Camp Wars.
They had several categories for the event. These were Outlaw Daily Driver, Anything on 28’s, and RWYB (Race What You Brought).
“Shawn is OK and walked away from this,” Ryan Hall commented on Wilhoit’s Facebook page. “(By) the grace of GOD AND car not so much!!!”
