Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. was struck by a vehicle on Saturday in Center City. He was walking near his residence at the time of the incident.
Oubre Jr., who signed with the team in the offseason, is reportedly in stable condition. About an hour after the initial tweet, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said that Oubre Jr. was released.

And the 76ers are going to work with Oubre Jr. with his treatment moving forward.
The Philadelphia police are investigating the matter.
Due to his injuries, Oubre Jr. is expected to miss time. However, he is not expected to miss the rest of the season following this incident.
Oubre Jr. practiced with his teammates on Saturday. He also had eight points in 26 minutes in the 76ers’ 114-106 win over the Detroit Pistons at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
The 27-year-old signed with Philadelphia in September. He signed a one-year deal worth approximately $2 million.
Oubre Jr. was initially the 15th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. He was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks.
He also played the Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets, Phoenix Suns, and the Golden State Warriors.
Oubre Jr. has appeared in eight games this season with the 76ers. He has made five starts.
He was averaging 16.3 points per game. Oubre Jr. also is averaging 5.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game.
Thankfully for the 76ers, the team acquired several forwards that will help offset the loss of Oubre Jr. The team received four forwards in a trade from the Los Angeles Clippers for James Harden.
In his career, he has appeared in 535 games. He has started 207 games.
He is averaging 12.8 points per game. Oubre Jr. is also averaging 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks per contest.
