NHRA Pro Stock driver Camrie Caruso was involved in an accident on Sunday. NHRA Sportsman racer Tori Iacono was also with Caruso when the accident happened.

Both ladies are OK. We have little information on how the accident happened.

“Anyone that may have seen the semi that hit Camrie Caruso and was too much of a coward to stop and see if the occupants were okay, please let me know,” Scott Taylor Motorsports said in a Facebook post. “The rear collision spun the truck out and disconnected the trailer. Camrie Caruso and Tori Iacono are okay, but with some bumps. All material things can be repaired or replaced so we are thankful to the good Lord above.

“2:25pm today at I-75 southbound near Hwy 41.
Please let me know if anyone saw this happen or has any info to help find the person that did this.”

Caruso has one career win in the NHRA Pro Stock category. She is expected to be healed by the time that the NHRA starts their season during the Gatornationals in March.

She is expected to compete in the Pro Stock race during the Scag Power Equipment PRO Superstar Shootout in Bradenton, Florida this coming weekend. Caruso will be one of eight KB Titan Racing drivers in the race.

We are not sure when Iacono will begin her racing schedule. She also assists with the Finke Racing Top Alcohol Dragster team that her aunt Jackie Fricke drives during the season.
