No. 9 TCNJ Women’s Lax defeat Montclair State 18-6

The No. 9 The College of New Jersey Lions Women’s Lacrosse team beat the Montclair State Red Hawks on Saturday. The Lions won 18-6 over the Red Hawks at the TCNJ Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex in Ewing, New Jersey.

The Lions improved to 10-4 on the season. TCNJ is now 3-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

The loss dropped the Red Hawks to 8-4 overall. They; however, are just 2-3 in conference play.

TCNJ scored eight goals in the first quarter. In fact, by halftime, the game was out of reach.

The Lions led 14-3 at halftime. In the final two quarters, they scored four goals.

The Red Hawks scored just three goals.

Marissa Lucca led the Lions with six goals. Ally Tobler had four goals. Natalie Berry and Veronica Campbell contributed three goals each.

Katherine Naiburg and CJ Kole had one goal each.

Montclair State had three goal scorers. Amra Lukovic led the Red Hawks with three goals.

Norah Monaghan added two goals. Kaeley Sek scored one goal.
