Basketball tournaments happen all over the country. The majority of them are good.

These tournaments happen all the time. However, one particular tournament in New Jersey has been shut down. It was called the Nuttin’ But Azz tournament.

In the video, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Collin Rugg, women can be seen twerking. There were women, according to board members at the school in the video, twerking on the basketball court while kids were present in school.

It is not clear when this video was taken.

This happened at their basketball gym. The school in question appears to be West side High School in Newark, New Jersey.

“I am appalled that a video of that sort was associated with that school or any of our schools,” said board member Daniel Gonzalez.

The video appears to have the date of the tournament as July 21st. The woman, who may be an organizer, said that there would be $10,000 up for grabs. An investigation is ongoing.

One would have to guess that with women twerking this would be an adult basketball tournament. But at press time, we are unable to confirm that information.

it is unlikely a teenage or high school basketball tournament would take place with twerking. That would be inappropriate.

“I would like to know who signed in, who opened those doors, and how many minors were on the site,” board member Crystal Williams.

Due to the hot water of this proposed basketball tournament, the school district in question will have to put extra precautions in place next time for anyone who would like to have a tournament at their school. Someone dropped the ball here. And the investigation will find it out.
