At press time, the team said that his doctors are “moving slowly” with the extent of his injuries. This is due to the impact that he had in his Funny Car.
No timetable for his recovery has been released yet. The team said that no treatment has been made public yet until a full evaluation is made.
Brittany Force, the two-time Top Fuel Dragster champion, is with her family at the hospital. Fellow sisters Adria, Ashley, and Courtney have flown in to be with Laurie and John in the hospital.
The team said that the family will remain at the hospital while the legendary drag racer recovers. However, the team will compete this weekend in Norwalk, Ohio.
