Chester, Pa. — The Philadelphia Union has fumbled away three points again. They did this against the Columbus Crew and Inter Miami CF.
Union head coach Bradley Carnell said that this is a learning opportunity. The Union tied Inter Miami CF with a 3-3 draw on Saturday night at Subaru Park.

This was world soccer superstar Lionel Messi’s second trip to Chester, Pennsylvania since 2023. He also competed in the town during a Leagues Cup match in August 2023.
The Union and Inter Miami CF played for the first time this season. They will also play towards the end of June in Miami, Florida.
The East-leading Union led 3-1. Then within the final 20 minutes, things fell apart for them.
The Union took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute when Quinn Sullivan scored. Then, they weren’t up 2-0 when Tai Baribo scored in the 44th minute.
Inter Miami responded to cut the lead to 2-1 when Tadeo Allende scored in the 60th minute. Baribo scored in the 73rd minute to make it 3-1.
Messi scored in the 87th minute. He also scored in the Leagues Cup game in 2023.
Then in stoppage time, Telesco Segovia scored at 90+5.
