Simulation: Bruins defeat Flyers in Double OT

According to our simulation, the Boston Bruins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers. The Bruins won 3-2 in the second overtime at The Fleet Center.

There were no scoring in the first overtime. Then, in the shootout, Simon Gagne scored on Tim Thomas in round 1. Then, in the third round, Marco Strum decided to come in on Martin Biron from the far left side.

Biron came out to challenge him and take away an angle; however, Strum was too quick. His shot from the top of the circle tipped off the crossbar and went in.

In the fifth-round, Patrice Bergeron flipped the puck on his blade. He deaked left and right and spun 360 before rocketing the puck off of his stick — and it went in for the game-winning goal.

In the third period, Petr Tenkrat scored to tie the game at two. Brad Boyes assisted on the goal.

The Flyers took a 2-1 lead when Mike Knuble scored. Gagne and Alexei Zhitnik had assists.

Brandon Bochenski tied the game at 1-1 when he scored for the Bruins. Bergeron and Andrew Ference had assists.

Lasse Kukkonen gave the Flyers a 1-0 when he scored at 13:13 in the first period. Scottie Upshall had an assist on the play.

Neither team connected on the power play. The Bruins were 0-for-six, while the Flyers were 0-for-two.

Biron allowed three goals and made 54 saves in 65 minutes in the net. His counter part, Thomas, allowed two goals and made 44 saves.

Biron was the first start of the game. Thomas was second, while Knuble was third.
