Englishtown, New Jersey — Larry Dixon has won the 38th annual ProCare Rx NHRA SuperNationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. Dixon defeated Doug Herbert in the Top Fuel final round at the Englishtown, New Jersey-based drag strip.
Dixon went 4.625 at 321.73 mph for the win. Herbert went 4.675 at 316.30 mph in the losing effort.
With the win, Dixon has now won back-to-back races. He also won the Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 NHRA Nationals at Joliet, Illinois.

He is the only one of two drivers, who has two or more wins. Brandon Bernstein has three wins, as he won the O’Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals in Topeka, Kansas.
Bernstein also won the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia. He also won the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada, both in April.
Dixon held a 25-9 advantage over Herbert in prior head-to-head meetings. He is now a perfect 3-0 against Herbert in the final rounds.
Dixon had the advantage off of the starting line. He then never trailed over the course of the rest of the race.

This is the first time since 2003 that he has won back-to-back races. That happened when he swept the Western Swing.
Dixon now has 40 career national event wins. In addition, he is now in second place on the all-time Top Fuel wins list.
