The San Diego Chargers have announced that running back LaDainian Tomlinson will play in their Week 3 contest. The Chargers will host the New York Jets in two days.
Tomlinson had been dealing with a sprained right big toe for the past two weeks. However, he returned to the lineup a few days later each time.
The Chargers will hope that Tomlinson and his teammates will be able to get their first win of the season. Presently, the team has a 0-2 record.

Plus, he also had two receptions for 14 yards.
In two games, Tomlinson has had 31 carries for 123 yards in the young season. However, he has yet to score a rushing touchdown.
In addition, he has also had five receptions for 29 yards.
During the 2007 season, Tomlinson was a workhorse, as he had 315 carries. He had 1,474 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.

He had a season-high 198 rushing yards in a 28-14 win over the Oakland Raiders. Tomlinson also had four touchdowns in the contest.
