We do not know recording artist Phillip Phillips. Nor do we know if he is a sports fan.

But in recent months, the popular singer has been racking up performances at sporting events. In February, he was involved in the lead up to Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

He performed songs before the marquee event featured the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos. The Seahawks won the game 43-8 in the first-ever Outdoor weather game in the Super Bowl.

Now, a few months later, Phillips is performing at the NHL Awards. The NHL Awards will air on Tuesday night at 7 pm on the NBC Sports Network.

The NHL Awards will be held at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas. The best players from around the league will travel to Las Vegas to attend this in-person event.

This will be just the fifth-time that the NHL Awards will be held. This is just the second straight year that the NHL Awards have been held at the Wynn Las Vegas.

George Stroumboulopoulos will host the awards. Some of the awards being given out to the best players in the league include the Lady Byng Trophy, the Calder Trophy, the Selke Trophy, the Vezina Trophy, the Norris Trophy, and the Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award.
