The Philadelphia Eagles believe that Carson Wentz is the real deal – and they’ve been targeting him for quite some time. But this time of year, it is a smoke screen or the truth?
Wentz is expected to go within the Top 2 picks of this year’s NFL Draft. He could be drafted by the Eagles if they have their way.

Doug Pederson, the Eagles’ head coach, would have to convince Howie Roseman, the Eagles personnel guy, to give up picks and potentially players to get any deal done. The Browns are also considering Goff over Wentz, like the Rams.
Earlier today, Wentz had a pre-draft workout with the Rams. But the Eagles have spent more time with Wentz than any other player, according to NJ.com.

If this is true though, Bradford and Chase Daniel — who signed with the team in the off-season from the Kansas City Chiefs — may be short-lived as Wentz would be the long-term answer. The Eagles haven’t had a franchise quarterback since Andy Reid drafted Donovan McNabb with the second overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft.
