The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) is in the mist of the first week in a four-week stretch with races. It begins in Epping, New Hampshire with the New England Nationals and ends in Ohio with the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals.
However, in Epping, the eliminations haven’t got off, like they should. There’s currently rain affecting the New England Nationals.

RACING UPDATE: Racing is on hold due to persistent rain. We will keep you posted on start times throughout the day.#NewEnglandNats

With the rain, it’s going to take at least an hour to dry the track, barring any more rain. The NHRA Safety Safari and staff will do everything they can to try to get the full event in on Sunday.
However, if they have to, then they’ll race on Monday. But that’ll make things tough on the teams, as they have to be at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ by Wednesday for their assignments for the NHRA Summernationals.
We’ll keep you posted on what happens throughout the rest of the day.
