This will be the eighth meeting between the two teams. Grambling State leads the series with a 4-3 advantage; however, the Aggies won the last two in 1991 and 1996.

The Tigers come into this contest with an 11-1 record. They are on an 11-game after losing the season-opener to the Tulane Green Wave.

They are also 7-0 in the SWAC.

The Aggies come into the contest with an 11-0 record. They have not lost since November 26th, 2016 when they lost 39-10 to the Richmond Spiders in the NCAA FCS playoffs.

They are also 8-0 in the MEAC. With a win, they’ll be the first team in school history to finish with an undefeated record since 1943 when the team went 7-0. And the third overall, as they went 8-0 in 1924.

North Carolina A&T has a lot on the line in this game. If they win, they become the first MEAC team to ever finish the season with an undefeated record.

In addition, they will break the school record for wins with 12. The previous record was 11 in 1999.

Also, A&T will be the first HBCU school to finish undefeated and untied on the FCS level.
