With the loss on Saturday, Harbaugh is now 0-4 against his arch rivals. In addition, the loss had multiple ramifications.

Michigan has been eliminated from the College Football Playoff. In addition, it was Harbaugh’s worst loss with the Maze and Blue.

The Michigan head coaches are judged by how they do against Ohio State. So far, he has failed.

And depending on how the Athletic Director feels, may not be given many more opportunities to coach in “The Game.”

The Wolverines were on a revenge tour this season. However, that ended with a 62-39 loss to the Buckeyes.

Prior to the game, Harbaugh admitted revenge was a factor in getting the team motivated. The Wolverines have not won in Columbus, Ohio since 2000.

“It’s a good one. Anger has proven to be a powerful motivator,” Harbaugh explained to the Detroit Free Press. “…[Ohio State passing game is] really good. Really good quarterback. Get the ball to all parts of the field. Playmakers. At all the eligible positions. Do a great job of protecting. Quarterback does a great job of getting the ball to multiple people in the passing game.”

Harbaugh is the first coach to go 0-4 against Ohio State in program history. The Buckeyes have won seven straight, including 14 of the last 15 in the series.

“I don’t know why he’d take heat after this loss. He took heat last year, he took a lot of heat this year even when we were winning,” Shea Patterson said to the Detroit Free Press after the game. “We have a chance to win 11 (games) and I know that’s not our ultimate goal and that’s not our top expectation. But we have a chance to win 11 games, I think that’s a successful season.
