The San Diego Fleet defeated the Salt Lake Stallions on Saturday night. The Fleet won 27-25 over the Stallions at SDCCU Stadium in San Diego, California.
The Fleet improved to 3-2 on the season. They now lead the Western Conference with their record.
San Diego has now won three of their last four games. Their only loss during this stretch came in a 26-23 loss to the Memphis Express on March 2nd.
The Stallions fell to 1-4 on the season. They have the worst record in the Western Conference.
Salt Lake has dropped two straight games.
Fleet quarterback Mike Bercovici went 22 of 43 for 304 yards. He also had a touchdown and an interception.
Terrell Watson had five carries for 14 yards. Bishop Sankey had five carries for 11 yards.
Dontez Ford had three receptions for 94 yards. Marcus Baugh had two receptions for 65 yards, while Nelson Spruce had four receptions for 47 yards. Brian Brown had four receptions for 44 yards.
Ben Johnson had two receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown.
Stallions quarterback Josh Woodrum went 31 of 48 for 380 yards. He also had a touchdown and three interceptions.
Joel Bouagnon had 11 carries for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
De’Mornay Pierson-El had eight receptions for 130 yards. Nick Truesdell had six receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. Adonis Jennings had two receptions for 47 yards. Terrell Newby had four receptions for 33 yards.
Anthony Denham had three receptions for 31 yards. Brian Tyms had three receptions for 30 yards.
San Diego scored 21 points in the second half. Jordan Martin had a 41-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Bercovici hit Johnson for an 18-yard touchdown reception.
Kameron Kelly had a 22-yard interception return for a touchdown. Donny Hageman also made a 44-yard field goal.
Salt Lake scored 17 points in the second half. Bouagnon scored on a four-yard rushing touchdown. Woodrum hit Truesdell for a six-yard touchdown reception. Woodrum hit Kenny Bell for a two-point conversion.
Taylor Bertolet also made a 44-yard field goal.
The Stallions led 8-6 at halftime. Bouagnon scored on a three-yard rushing touchdown. Woodrum converted the two-point conversion.
Fleet’s Hageman made two field goals.
