Black Wolves acquires Warriors’ Malcom

The New England Black Wolves made a trade with the Vancouver Warriors on Monday. The Black Wolves acquired forward Anthony Malcom in the trade.

In exchange, the Warriors acquired a 2022 NLL Draft second-round draft pick.

“We are excited to get a player, like Anthony in New England,” Black Wolves GM Rich Lisk said. “He fits what we are looking for; big, strong, and athletic, and is a proven player in the NLL. He will fit perfectly with what we have in place offensively.”

The 25-year-old Malcom was drafted with the 11th overall pick by the Buffalo Bandits in the 2015 NLL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Bandits, before being acquired by the Warriors.

The New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada native is a right-handed forward. He is 6-foot-1 and weighs 190 pounds.

He made 17 appearances with the Warriors in 2019. He had 13 goals and 25 assists for 38 points.

Malcom also had two power-play goals and one power-play assist. He also had six PIM.

In his career, he has appeared in 61 games. He scored 65 goals and had 89 assists for 154 points. Malcom scored five power-play goals and had seven power-play assists.
