The Cleveland Browns were not supposed to be this good. However, through the first four games of the 2020 NFL season, the team is 3-1.
The Browns put on a show on Sunday, as they defeated the Dallas Cowboys 49-38 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Dallas has allowed at least 38 points in the last three games. This is the second-time in franchise history that this feat was accomplished.
The Cowboys first allowed at least 38 points in three games in 1960. That was their first year of their existence.
In addition, Dak Prescott became the first player in NFL history to throw for at least 450 yards in three straight games.
The Browns had 31 points at halftime, which was their most in a game at halftime since December 1, 1991 against the Indianapolis Colts. Bernie Kosar was the team’s starting quarterback in that game.
Plus, Cleveland has scored at least 30 points in three straight games for the first-time since 1968.
Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield went 19 of 30 for 165 yards. He also had two touchdown passes.
D’Ernest Johnson had 13 carries for 95 yards. Odell Beckham Jr. had five receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns.
Prescott went 41 of 58 for 502 yards. He had thrown four touchdown passes and one interception.
Ezekiel Elliott had 12 carries for 54 yards. Amari Cooper had 12 receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Beckham Jr. had a stellar game. He caught two touchdown receptions — one each from Mayfield and Jarvis Landry. He also scored a rushing touchdown.
Kareem Hunt scored two rushing touchdowns. Austin Hooper also caught a touchdown reception, while Cody Parkey also made two field goals.
CeeDee Lamb caught two touchdown receptions from Prescott. He also hit Cooper and Dalton Schultz for a touchdown.
Tony Pollard also scored a rushing touchdown.
Both teams were 4-for-4 in two-point conversion attempts. Dallas converted three times and Cleveland converted once.
