Former Super Bowl-winning cornerback Michael Richardson was arrested on Wednesday. He is facing a murder charge.
At the time of his arrest, he also had a warrant out for him in an unrelated case. He is the person of interest in the murder of 47-year-old Ronald Like, according to abc15.com.
The authorities found Like shot and killed on Tuesday morning in Phoenix, Arizona. When the authorities arrived, Like was in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Richardson was part of the popular Chicago Bears team that won the 1985 Super Bowl. He was also a part of the “Super Bowl Shuffle” video.
In the song, Richardson has a solo rap. He says, “I’m LA Mike and I play it cool. They don’t sneak by me because I’m no fool.”

Previously this year, Richardson was arrested twice. He was arrested for allegedly having drugs in his possession. In addition, he also has been arrested for theft and possession of meth, crack cocaine, and heroin.
According to ESPN and the Chicago Tribune, he has been arrested more than 20 times since 2008. Richardson was a first-round draft pick in the 1983 NFL Draft by the Bears.

He played in Chicago, Illinois from 1983 through 1988. After playing for the Bears, he played one more season with the San Francisco 49ers during the 1989 season.
