For the second straight weekend, a flag man has passed away. Last weekend, the flag man at Norway Speedway in Michigan was hit.

He later succumbed to his injuries. This weekend, Star Speedway is mourning the death of their flag man Scottie Frazier.

An official cause of death has not been confirmed yet. No age was provided.

“Today (Saturday) all of us at Star lost not only a dedicated official but an irreplaceable friend,” Star Speedway said in a Facebook post. “Words cannot express the sadness that has fallen over all of us. We have you and all your family in our thoughts and prayers.

“RIP my friend. You are gone way too soon.”

We do not know if he passed away before racing began on Saturday at the Epping, New Hampshire track. The facility had scheduled racing to begin with a five division card at 5 pm local time.

“I have been in touch with Jennifer Frazier and she will be keeping me updated on arrangements etc for Scottie,” Star Speedway said in a separate post. “Together we are also gonna plan something for Scottie at the track. I want him to (be) remembered for the person that he was and I want to make it big to honor him. As we get plans moving along I will reach out and post on here for those that have contacted me about wanting to do something.

“Let’s remember and honor Scottie with as much passion as he had for not only helping Star but everyone thru his work with RWJM.”
