Sprint Car drivers Tyler Ross and Justin Whittal had a skirmish on Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway. DirtVision called the altercation a “fight” in Mechanicsville, Pennsylvania.

According to the video, the few punches were thrown hit the air. The two drivers were shoving each other more with track officials close by.

The announcer said that one of the drivers involved in the incident was Chad Trout. A fan on DirtVision’s Facebook page took him to task.

“Hey Bruce Ellis, get your reporting correct,” Steve Lloyd said in a Facebook post. “Chad Trout is NOT one of the driver’s fighting. Chad spun to avoid the #5 and #67. Bruce do yourself a favor next time and don’t say anything until you have the facts.

“Throwing names out there, like these punches, is not cool when you report the wrong drivers. I expect a public apology since your error was public.”

The night featured 410 Sprint Cars. The feature was called 410 Sprint Yellow Beeches 500.

Ross and Whittal finished 20 laps of the feature before their collision. They did not finish the race.

The event also featured the 358 Sprint Car Summer Series.

We do not know if the two drivers will be punished for their actions.
