The impact causes Guanyu’s car to spin and slide off of the grid and onto the grass. The halo saved Guanyu from serious injury.

Right before the catch fence and tires, Guanyu’s car bounced on it’s side. The car then goes over the tires.

Guanyu’s car then got wedged in between the catch fence and tires.

“Following a crash at the start of the British Grand Prix, Zhou Guanyu is conscious and now at the circuit’s medical centre to undergo evaluation. #BritishGP,” Alpha Romeo said in a tweet.
