Brazilian bull rider Fernando Henrique Novais was injured on Friday during the team-based PBR event. He was riding Forbidden Fruit when he was injured.
We do not have more information on the severity of his injuries.

“Fernando Henrique Novais is recovering in the hospital from non-life threatening injuries to the head and chest incurred following his dismount in Kansas City last night,” PBR President Sean Gleason said in a Facebook post. “He is alert and communicating. He may be held for another day of observation. Fernando’s first question on the way to the hospital was “What was my score?”
“A solid 85, he was told. And it won the game for his Nashville Stampede.”
He was the last rider to register a qualifying ride during the team competition against the Texas Rattlers. The Stampede won 170.75 over the Rattlers’ 83.
At this time, it is not clear if he will be able to participate in today’s event against the Kansas City Outlaws.
If he is not able to compete, then the Stampede may be a man down for their competition against the Outlaws.
