According to a social media post by Five Mile Post Speedway in New York, one of their drivers was involved in an accident. There were no major injuries.

WEBO in Owego, New York is reporting that the accident happened one mile past the Oakdale Mall exit. They are reporting that the race car trailer is on its side.

The pickup that was towing the trailer is on its roof. Two lanes of traffic have been blocked off.

“After racing on Saturday evening with us in the Street Stock division, Abe Romanik had a car run into the back of their hauler while driving home,” the track said in a Facebook post. “It caused them to flip their truck and trailer on the side. To our knowledge, fortunately, there were no major injuries.

“We are so thankful for all of the fans and teams that travel to and from our races. We wish Abe and his family and crew all the best and are thankful that this wasn’t a worse situation.“

We have no other information at this time on the accident. Romania finished last in the 20-lap Street Stock feature on Saturday before leaving the track.

Depending on the damage to the trailer and truck, Romanik may be sidelined for some time as repairs are made.
