Race car driver Trevor Baker has passed away. He was 26, according to social media posts.
An official cause of death has not been announced yet. He was involved in an accident on Thursday morning in Florida.
“Trevor Baker, I am at a loss of words as I type through these tears,” Kaitlin Stephens said in a Facebook post. “I can’t believe you’re actually gone. You just celebrated your 26th birthday. Thank you for letting me be your biggest fan in your racing career. You had a big personality, and an even bigger heart. From matching our flannels, to giving the famous thumbs up before your races, these are sweet memories I will always cherish with you. You were a kid at heart and always made it easy to smile.
“This doesn’t seem real and I’m struggling to process this. Thank you for being a great friend. My heart is hurting so much😞 So many prayers to the sweet Baker family and mobile home workers. Fly high, T-Rev, until we meet again.”
According to WFLA, he was killed on I-75 near Tampa, Florida as he stepped outside of his truck as multiple cars collided. Baker was killed at the scene.
Others were injured. However, Baker was the only fatality.
When he was not moving homes with his oversized big rig, he was a Sprint Car driver.
