Broncos, Russell Wilson agree to five-year extension

The Denver Broncos have re-signed quarterback Russell Wilson. He has received a new five year contract.

The star-studded signal caller could make $245 million if all incentives are reached. He is guaranteed to make $165 million.

This five year extension will make his tenure in Denver for the next seven seasons. He already has two years left on his existing contract that he signed with the Seattle Seahawks.

He will make $296 million over seven years. He will average $42.3 million on average per season.

In the off-season, he was traded in a blockbuster deal with the Broncos. The Seahawks received numerous players and draft picks in return.

Wilson signs this massive new extension before the new NFL season begins. He will return to Seattle on Monday Night Football in Week 1.

He is 104-53-1 in 158 starts. He has thrown 37,059 passing yards with 292 touchdowns and 87 interceptions.
