Once Diaz gets a promoter license, then he can start planning his first event.
Next Saturday, Diaz will fight Khamzat Chimaev in a five-round non-title bout at UFC 279 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. This is the last fight on Diaz’s contract.
This will be Diaz’s first fight since June 2021 when he was defeated by Leon Edwards by a unanimous decision at UFC 263 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
