The incident happened on Saturday night. It happened at approximately 11:30 pm in Inglewood, California.

Owens told TMZ Sports that he went to the store to get some items. While there, he was approached by the man.

At first, the report says, that there was a “friendly conversation.” However, shortly thereafter, things changed.

A second man decided to enter the mix. He allegedly was “talking crap” to the first man that Owens was talking to.

Witnesses claim that the second man threatened to beat Owens and the first man outside. The first man and Owens eventually went outside but not to fight.

Owens tried to be the peacemaker with the second man. Instead, the man started a confrontation with Owens.

The 48-year-old defended himself with a right punch. This caused the heckler to fall to the ground.

Once he got back up to his feet, he did not want to fight anymore. The NFL great then left and drove away in his Tesla.
