“It was very hard and dry pitch, it was tough to play the kind of football we want to play, fast getting the ball moving,” Fulham’s defender Antonee Robinson said. “Overall for the lads that have not played too many minutes, it was good to get a good run out against a good side.”

This Premier League Summer Series is the first of its kind. The tour will feature several different stops before the teams begin their Premier League season.

The Summer Series was founded in 2023. It consists of pre-season friendlies that take place in the United States over eight days.

It is just the second Premier League competition held outside of England. The Premier League Asia Trophy is the other.

Each team just scored one after halftime. Fulham F.C.’s Carlos Vinicius scored to put the team up 3-1.

Brentford’s Kristopher Ajer cut the lead to 3-2. It would remain this way for the rest of the game.

In the first half, Fulham F.C. led 2-1. Harry Wilson scored the opening goal of the game. Bobby De Cordova-Reid gave them a 2-1 lead going into halftime.

“The heat was tough,” Fulham’s midfielder Harry Wilson said. “For a lot of us that was the first time we had played more than 45 minutes so I think the boys showed good fitness levels… It was a good 60 minutes to get under the belt and it was nice  to get a goal.”

Brentford’s Yoane Wissa scored in the first half.
