Browns shock 49ers with Hopkins GW FG

Before this Sunday, there were two teams left undefeated on the season. Now, there will be just one. 

The Cleveland Browns defeated the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The Browns won 19-17 at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Browns improved to 3-2 on the season with the win. All three wins have come at home, as they are now 3-1 overall in front of their home fans.

The 49ers fell to 5-1. They are now 2-1 on the road. 

With the loss by the 49ers, the Philadelphia Eagles are the lone undefeated team in the league.

Browns quarterback P.J. Walker went 18 of 34 for 192 yards. He also had two interceptions. 

Jerome Ford had 17 carries for 84 yards. Amari Cooper had four receptions for 108 yards.

49ers quarterback Brock Prudy went 12 of 27 for 125 yards. He had one touchdown pass and one interception. 

Christian McCaffrey had 11 carries for 43 yards. Brandon Aiyuk had four receptions for 76 yards. 

McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel were injured in the contest. 

The Browns outscored the 49ers 12-7 in the second half. When the Browns took the lead in the second half, it was the first time that the 49ers trailed in the second half all season. 

Dustin Hopkins accounted for all 12 points. He made four field goals. 

He first made a 42-yard field goal in the third quarter. He also made a 46-yard field goal in the quarter, as well. 

Then, in the fourth quarter, he made a 50-yard field goal. Finally, with 1:40 left in the game, he made the game-winning 29-yard field goal.

The 49ers’ lone points came in the fourth quarter in the second half. Jordan Mason scored on an eight-yard run. 

San Francisco led 10-7 at halftime. McCaffrey caught a 13-yard touchdown reception from Purdy in the first quarter. 

Jake Moody also made a 25-yard field goal. 

Kareem Hunt scored on a 16-yard rushing touchdown.
