No. 10 TCNJ blew out Farmingdale State 18-2 in Women’s Lacrosse

The No. 10 The College of New Jersey Lions Women’s Lacrosse team blew out the Farmingdale State Rams on Saturday. The Lions won 18-2 over the Rams at the TCNJ Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex in Ewing, New Jersey.

The Lions improved to 4-0 on the season with the win. The loss dropped the Rams to 1-4 on the season.

The Rams had won their first game of the season before losing to the Lions. On Wednesday, the Rams defeated the Ramapo Roadrunners 12-7 in Mahwah, New Jersey.

Before the win over Ramapo, the team had lost three straight to begin the season.

The game was out of reach in the first half. At halftime, the Lions led 13-1.

Then, the Lions outscored the Rams 5-1 over the final two quarters.

Ally Tobler led the Lions with five goals. Following her performance, several Lions had two goals each. In total, five players contributed two goals each.

The players, who tallied two goals each, were Kira Sides, Natalie Berry, Morgan Vaccaro, CJ Kole, and Marissa Lucca.

In addition, Katherine Naiburg, Madison Wernik, and Veronica Campbell scored once.

The Rams had two goal scorers. Megan Diamond and Emily Sohm scored a goal.
