With the win, Buckley improved to 18-6 in his MMA career. He is now on a three-fight win streak in the UFC.
During this win streak, he also had a TKO (head kick) win over Andre Fialho at UFC Fight Night on May 20th, 2023. This bout was his return to Welterweight.
Buckley has won 13 of his 18 wins by knockout.
The “New Mania” will hope to use this win to get a fighter within the Top 10 in his next bout and continue to climb the ladder to the top of the division. He is in a stacked field that presently sees Leon Edwards as the champion.
“The Silent Assassin” Luque, who was born in Westwood, New Jersey, before moving away, fell to 22-10-1 with the loss. This was his second knockout loss.
