“It is with heavy, heavy hearts that we tell the latest chapter of our Titans of 10.5 story,” Titans of 10.5 said in a Facebook post. “During eliminations last night at Bonne Terre Dragway, Outlaw 8.5 racer Jerry Clingman rode an unbelievable, wild looking wheelstand pass against the Wes Choate “Scarlett” Camaro and during the conversation on the big end, suffered a massive heart attack. Medics on the scene gave all they had and got Jerry transported. Sadly, this morning, Jerry went on to his next race, leaving this world behind.

“We are at a loss for really what to say at this moment, other than to say that we have all lost a great friend and will all miss him greatly! We will keep everybody in the loop as we get information on arrangements. Please keep Jerry’s family in your prayers.”

According to Ozark Raceway Park, Clingman did a 300-foot power wheelie before his death.

“I’m still in shock and disbelief!,” Chris Hogan said in a Facebook post. “This man and team were some of if not the nicest people to me in the Racing scene for sure! Such a great man and boy could he drive and he did just that from what I’m hearing and def (definitely) left this world doin (doing) what he loved to do! There just isn’t words and I send prayers to John Ames and all their family and friends!

Jerry Clingman will def (definitely) be missed and still just in shock that this happened! Hold your loved ones tight and don’t take any second for granted!”
