Motorsports legend Tony Stewart has announced that he will be in the Top Fuel Dragster in 2025. He made the announcement on Tuesday during a Race Week Industry interview with Joe Costello.

A few weeks ago, during the NHRA Finals, Stewart’s wife Leah gave birth to their first child together. His name is Dominic.

“I’m going to be back in the top fuel car again next year,” Stewart said. “Leah has decided she wants to be a mom this first year. And I’ll be honest, I mean, she is literally just over two weeks from having Dominic.

“And I am pretty confident in about two to three weeks, she would be ready to get back in a Top Fuel car. She absolutely looks amazing. Looking at her, you wouldn’t even tell that she just delivered a little boy to us.”

This year, Stewart finished his first season as a Top Fuel Dragster driver. Yet, despite struggling at times, he was named the NHRA’s Rookie of the Year.

“So it’s just amazing how strong and tough my wife is and what she does,” Stewart said. “But she does want to be a mom next year. And yeah, I’m kind of fighting it a little bit.

“But I guess the bonus to it is I get to drive a Top Fuel car again next year. So it’s either way, I get to win either way.”
