The Oregon Ducks are undefeated on the season. And now, the program has a Heisman Trophy finalist.
Ducks sixth-year senior quarterback Dillon Gabriel has been announced as a finalist. He actually committed to the Ducks last year on the same day as the 2023 Heisman Trophy presentation.
Former Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware announced the Heisman Trophy finalists during Monday Night Football at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Also receiving invites were Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty, and Miami (Florida) Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward.
The Hawai’ian is looking to become the second quarterback to win the award at the school. Former Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota won the award in 2014.
He has gone 297 of 406 for 3,558 yards. Gabriel has had 28 touchdown passes and six interceptions.
