Bill O’Brien is a football coach, who is presently the New England Patriots’ offensive coordinator. He was previously the Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2021 and 2022.
Before being employed at the University of Alabama, he served as the head coach of the Houston Texans from 2014 through 2020. He is 52-44 as an NFL head coach, including going 2-4 in the postseason.
O’Brien also served a two-year stint as the Penn State Nittany Lions head coach. He went 15-9 during his tenure with the Nittany Lions.

He also worked for the Patriots from 2007 through 2011. O’Brien also served as the Duke Blue Devils’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2005 and 2006.
The Dorchester, Massachusetts native also coached for the Brown Bears, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and the Maryland Terrapins.
