The San Diego Fleet selected Josh Johnson with the No. 1 overall pick in the quarterback in the “Protect or Pick” Draft on Tuesday night. The Fleet received the top pick following a random draw.

The 32-year-old Oakland, California native has not played in a game in organized football since the 2014 season with the San Francisco 49ers. Johnson appeared in just one game that season.
