Munnerlyn last played in the NFL in 2018. He will never play in the league again after these allegations.

The incident with the woman began on January 3rd. The victim – who is not named in the documents — in the case had difficulty breathing, the report said. She also had bruises and scratches on her body.

She claims that Munnerlyn strangled her in police documents. She also alleges that Munnerlyn kicked her in the face.

At this time, Munnerlyn has been charged with assaulting a female. He’s also charged with assault by strangulation.

Munnerlyn has bonded out following his arrest. However, he is due in court on March 1st in the case.

At this time, it is not clear how much jail time Munnerlyn is facing. Oftentimes, charges are dropped or reduced in these cases.

He was a seventh-round draft pick by the Panthers in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played for the Panthers from 2009 through 2013 then again in 2017 and 2018.

He played for the Minnesota Vikings from 2014 through 2016.
