According to a social media post by a woman named Mags at mlongenecker99 on Twitter, a member of the Colorado Avalanche dropped the Stanley Cup at what appeared to be a bar as they were being recognized. The player was not identified in the post.

The player had the Stanley Cup above his head. He then begins to lose balance.

The unnamed player begins to fall. He falls to the ground as the Stanley Cup begins to get lower towards the ground.

The player definitely appeared to be drunk.

A security guy and another man then go towards the players’ aid. The Stanley Cup hit the ground.

The video does not show any damage to the Stanley Cup. That’s because it was stopped before we could get a close look at the historic trophy.

This could be the second time in a week that the Stanley Cup was dented. When the Avalanche defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6, one of the players dented the Stanley Cup on the ice right before the team photo.

It is not clear at this time of the NHL has had to repair the Stanley Cup. Throughout the summer, each player and coach gets to spend a day with the Stanley Cup.
