Street Outlaws No Prep Kings star Mike Murillo is one of the most popular drivers on the tour. However, after Saturday, he may not make the final few races of the 2022 season.

He was defeated in the second round by two-time NPK Champion Ryan Martin at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. According to an Upshift 360 video, Murillo experienced a fire during the run.

The video on YouTube shows that the fire began to intensify as the Texan reached the Budweiser scoring sign.

Eventually, Murillo was able to get the car stopped. His driver-side door is open as the car is burning on fire.

People at the top end near LaFawnDuh (the name of his car) rushed over to Murillo’s aid. Towards the end of the video, you can hear race master Chris “Boosted GT” Hamilton say that Murillo was out of the car.

It took track personnel some time to put the fire out. The front end of the car suffered significant damage from the fire.

At this time, it is unclear if Murillo and his team will be able to make the final three races of the season. He may sit them out and regroup for the 2023 season.

The No Prep Kings season has just begun on the Discovery Channel. This Monday night, the TV channel will showcase racing from Virginia Motorsports Park in North Dinwiddie, Virginia.
