Florence High School (Florence, NJ) head football coach Joe Frappolli has announced that this fall will be his final season on the sidelines. The legendary coach will step down after 50 years of coaching the Flashes program.
On Thursday night, Frappolli and his family were in attendance for the Philadelphia Eagles home opener. The Eagles hosted the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia.

Before the game, Frappolli and his son were on the sideline. Then, at some point, former Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell spoke to the Frappolli’s.

During the conversation, Goodell presented two Super Bowl LVIII tickets to the veteran coach. He will be in attendance at the upcoming Las Vegas Super Bowl on Sunday, February 11th, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
“Tonight, Commissioner Goodell surprised @Eagles season ticket holder Joseph Frappolli with tickets to Super Bowl LVIII,” NFL said in a post on X. “Coach Frappolli is one of the winningest coaches in South Jersey football history, having coached 2,500+ players over his 50-year career. 👏 #SuperBowlSurprise”

Frappolli will be back leading his team on the field on Saturday morning. According to NJ.com’s High School Sports page, the Flashes will travel to Princeton High School in Princeton, New Jersey for a game at 11 a.m.

Presently, the Flashes are 2-0 on the season in Frappolli’s final countdown. Florence has outscored their first two opponents 56-6 on the young season.
On August 31st, the Flashes defeated New Egypt High School (New Egypt, NJ) 34-0. Then, on September 8th, Florence defeated Cherry Hill East High School (Cherry Hill, NJ) 22-6.
