It is believed to be an ankle injury. The extent of the injury is not known at this time. Parsons is expected to have an MRI on the injury on Friday.

Following the tests, that’s when we’ll know more about the injury.

Parsons — if the severity is not a long-term injury — could potentially return to the lineup during the team’s next game. The Cowboys are scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football on October 6th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He is normally an impactful player. However, against the Giants offense, Parsons was held to just two tackles.

The 25-year-old has just 11 tackles through the first four games. He also has just one sack.

If this is a several week injury — which will not be known until the MRI is examined — the Cowboys play at home against the Detroit Lions on October 13th. Then, they have their bye in Week 7 on October 20th.

When they come out of the bye, the Cowboys have a primetime game. They play on Sunday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers on October 27th.
