According to the NFL Network, the Cleveland Browns are expected to keep head coach Kevin Stefanski. The 42-year-old has guided the Browns to a 3-12 record this season.

Normally, when a team has a horrible record, the management and ownership want to get rid of them. However, owner Jimmy Haslam and General Manager Andrew Berry believes in Stefanski enough to keep him for at least one more season.

The Browns host the 7-8 Miami Dolphins in their final home game of the season at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio. Then, they close out their season with a road game, as they travel to Baltimore, Maryland to face the Baltimore Ravens.

This season has been marred by horrible quarterback play by the Browns. Deshaun Watson struggled before suffering a season-ending injury.

Watson and the Browns agreed to a restructured deal, which means he’ll be a part of their 2025 roster. However, their backups are not clear.

Since Watson went down, Jameis Winston and Dorian Thompson-Robinson did not capitalize on their opportunities. Stefanski initially went with Winston before being benched and moving to Thompson-Robinson.

Berry is expected to bring in a veteran to compete with Watson for the starting quarterback role in 2025. They may acquire someone like Kirk Cousins on a veteran’s minimum salary after he is released from the Atlanta Falcons.

Stefanski is in his fifth season with the Browns. He has gone 40-42 during his tenure.

Two of the five seasons saw 11-win seasons. He guided the team to an 11-5 record in 2020.

Then, the team went 11-6 in 2023. The Browns went to the playoffs each season.

In the two other seasons, the Browns went 8-9 in 2021. And then they went 7-10 in 2022.
