The NFC No. 2 seed, the Philadelphia Eagles, defeated the No. 4 seed, the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon in a snowstorm. The Eagles won 28-22 over the Rams at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Eagles advance in the playoffs. They will host the Washington Commanders, their NFC East foe, in the NFC Conference Championship game next Sunday at 3 pm on Sunday.

In the two regular-season meetings, the teams split the series. The Eagles won 26-18 over the Commanders on Thursday Night Football on November 14th.

The Rams season has come to an end.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has now fallen to 1-9 in rain/snow games. Two of these games have now come against the Eagles.

He nearly bucked that trend late in the game. Stafford hit Puka Nacua for a 10-yard reception, as he got both his feet in while falling out of bounds, to move the ball to the Eagles’ 23.

The Rams had 1:19 left on the clock. However, on the very next play, Eagles stud defensive lineman Jalen Carter sacked Stafford for a nine-yard loss.

A field goal would have been tough in the snow at that spot in the game, as they needed a touchdown. So, Rams head coach Sean McVay decided to go for it on 4th and 15, as the team was down 5.

Stafford threw an incomplete pass that was intended for Nacua on the play. The Rams wanted a flag on the play, but none was thrown.

Jalen Hurts ran out the clock to end the game.

Hurts went 15 of 20 for 128 yards.

Saquon Barkley had 26 carries for 205 yards and two touchdowns. Dallas Goedert had four receptions for 56 yards.

According to OptaStats, Barkley is now the first player in NFL history with four rushing touchdowns of at least 60+ yards against a single opponent.

All four touchdowns have come against the Rams in two games this season. He also had a career-high 255 rushing yards in the regular season against the Rams.

Stafford went 26 of 44 for 324 yards. He also had two touchdown passes.

Kyren Williams had 19 carries for 106 yards. Nacua had six receptions for 97 yards.

Eagles outscored the Rams 15-12 in the second half. Barkley scored on a 78-yard rushing touchdown.

Jake Elliott also made three field goals. He made a 44-yard field goal. Then, he made a 23-yard field goal.

He also made a 37-yard field goal.

Rams’ Stafford hit Colby Parkinson for a four-yard touchdown reception. Kicker Joshua Karty also made a 34-yard field goal.

Hurts was sacked by Neville Gallimore in the end zone in the third quarter. This resulted in a safety.

The Eagles led 13-10 at halftime. Hurts scored on a 44-yard rushing touchdown.

Barkley also scored on a 62-yard rushing touchdown.

Stafford hit Tyler Higbee for a four-yard touchdown reception. Karty made a 30-yard field goal.
