Boomer Esiason

Norman “Boomer” Esiason was an NFL player. He played in the league from 1984 through 1997.

He was the NFL MVP during the 1988 season. He also was the NFL Man of the Year in 1995.

The left-handed quarterback also was a first-team All-Pro in 1988. He was a four-time Pro Bowl selection in 1986, 1988, 1989, and 1993.

Esiason also was the AFC Player of the Year in 1988.

He spent the majority of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals. He also played for the New York Jets and the Arizona Cardinals.

He appeared in 187 games, including 173 starts. He was 80-93 as a starter.

Esiason went 2,969 of 5,205 for 37,920 passing yards. He threw 247 touchdown passes and 184 interceptions.

He also had 447 carries for 1,598 yards and seven additional touchdowns. He also had one reception for -8 yards.
