The Georgia Bulldogs celebrated their College Football Playoff National Championship on Saturday. There was a parade in Athens, Georgia for their fans to celebrate with the football program.
Hours later, a member of the championship-winning team has been killed. Offensive lineman Devin Willock has passed away.

Chandler LeCroy also died in the accident. She was a member of the recruiting staff for the program.

The school also announced on Sunday morning that two other people connected to the program were also involved in the accident. At this time, we just know that they are in stable condition.
“The entire Georgia family is devastated by the tragic loss of football student-athlete Devin Willock and football staff member Chandler LeCroy,” Georgia said in a statement. “Two other members of the football program were injured in the accident. They are both in stable condition, and we will continue to monitor their status with medical personnel.
“Devin and Chandler were two special people who meant so much to the University of Georgia, our football program, and our athletic department. We ask that everyone keep their families in your prayers during this very difficult time.”
The incident happened at approximately 2:45 am. Willock, according to the reports, was the passenger, according to the police.
The authorities said that LeCroy was the driver. They also said that the vehicle left the roadway before striking two power poles and several trees.
Willock passed away at the scene. LeCroy later died at the hospital.
The New Milford, New Jersey native played in every game with the Bulldogs this past season. He was a reserve for the team.

He saw action in the SEC Championship in December. Then saw action in the College Football Playoff Semifinal against the Ohio State Buckeyes and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against the TCU Horned Frogs.
“We are all heartbroken and devastated with the loss of Devin Willock and Chandler LeCroy,” Smart said in a statement. “Devin was an outstanding young man in every way and was always smiling. He was a great teammate and a joy to coach. Chandler was a valuable member of our football staff and brought an incredible attitude and energy every single day. We grieve with their families for this tragic loss and will support them in every way possible.”
