The Rally Car community is mourning the loss of one of its drivers. Erin Kelly has passed away.
An official cause of death has not been announced yet. No age was provided.
“Erin Kelly has succumbed to her injuries during stage 5 during the New England Forest Rally Friday afternoon,” American Rally American said in a Facebook post. “The American Rally Association and New England Rally express its deepest condolences to Erin’s family, team, and many friends throughout the rally community.”
We do not have information on the accident that led to her death.
Due to her death, the New England Forest Rally has been canceled.
“After discussions with the competitors, New England Forest Rally with the full support of the American Rally Association has decided to cancel the rest of the rally,” the organization said in another statement. “The American Rally Association and the New England Rally continue to express its deepest condolences to Erin’s family, team, and many friends throughout the rally community.”
